Game 1 - Classroom Feud is a great way for an instructor to build curiosity around a new subject/unit. Classroom Feud asks students to guess the chronological or "top" answers to a question. For example, "The first 5 presidents", or "Most popular television shows". Two teams play the game, facing off against each other to guess the top answers. In Standard Mode, each answer is worth points, and when they uncover a response, the points for that answer are added to the "kitty". If the team gives three incorrect answers--giving them "strikes"they must forfeit play to the other team. At that point, the other team will get a chance to steal all the points in the kitty by guessing one remaining answer. If they get one answer on the board, they win the kitty as well as the points for the answer they gave. If not, the first team wins the points that have accumulated in the kitty. Another mode of play allows teams to earn points immediately as they uncover correct answers. In this mode, the instructor can either allow a team to keep control in an attempt to "run the table" or make the teams alternate answering.
Classroom Feud allows an instructor to focus on one question for a longer period of time, allows students to collaborate with each other, and allows instructors to use questions with multiple answers.
