When a question is initially displayed, it appears on the screen along with its possible answers:
You, as the gameshow host, must start the question timer in order to allow users to transmit their answers. You can start the timer by pressing the Timer button on your keypad or by clicking on the Timer icon on the screen:
A digital countdown sequence begins, whose duration corresponds to the Answer Timer setting you selected in AllPlay 2 setup. During the countdown period, users may enter their responses to the question before them.
If you have not selected Allow Multiple Answer Attempts, then users may enter one response to the question during the countdown sequence. What they see on the screen depends on your Give Answer Feedback setting. If you are providing answer feedback, then users will see one of the following displays upon transmitting an answer:
If you are not providing answer feedback, then users will only be told that their responses have been received:
If you have selected Allow Multiple Answer Attempts, then users have up to 3 chances to respond to a 4 answer question during the countdown sequence. If a user's first answer attempt is correct, then the user will see a Right display:
If their first answer is incorrect, then the user will see a Try Again display:
If their second answer is right, the user will see a Right display. If it is incorrect, the user will see a Last Chance display:
If their third answer is right, the user will be shown a Right display. If incorrect, the user will see a Wrong display:
All players who have not responded to the question during the countdown sequence, are shown a Time's Up! message when the Answer Timer expires:
Note: Once all users have been scored Right or Wrong, the countdown sequence ends, no matter how many seconds are still available on the timer. As a result, questions may not necessarily utilize all the available answer time you have allotted within AllPlay 2 setup.
