If you Allow Multiple Answer Attempts and Penalize Wrong Responses is set to Yes, then partial point awards are possible. For a question with 4 possible answers, a player's right answer on the first attempt is awarded 100% of the total points that player could contribute. Right answers on the second attempt receive 50% of the total points. Right answers on the third attempt receive 25% of the total points. Each team's points for a given question are calculated by player, then they are accumulated by team and shown on the AllPlay 2 results screens.
To illustrate AllPlay 2 scoring both with AND without penalties for wrong responses, let's assume that 2 teams, each with 4 players, answer a 100 point question. Each team member, then, can contribute 25 points to the team's score by entering a right answer.
