SWAP Function
Previous  Top  Next

The Swap Out button has the same effect as depressing Alt-Tab on your keyboard. If you are in AllPlay 2 when you Swap Out, you will leave the AllPlay 2 application window and enter the next open window on your computer. Using this button, you can Swap Out to another application such as PowerPoint, and then Swap Out back to AllPlay 2.

If you Swap Out of AllPlay 2 during the Answer period, the answer poll will close, the timer music will stop, and player input will not be accepted until the answer poll is restarted. When you return to AllPlay 2, you must resume the Answer period by depressing the Proceed button on your transmitter, the Timer button on the game screen, or the Spacebar on your keyboard.

However, if the Lock Out function is turned ON when you attempt to resume the Answer period, AllPlay 2 will only be able to recognize this and prevent the Answer period from resuming if you use the Proceed button on your transmitter. In other words, if the Lock Out function is turned ON and you resume the Answer period by using either the Spacebar or the Timer button on the gameboard, the Answer period will resume, but Player input will not be relayed to the game.

Note: You can always tell when the Lock Out function is ON by looking for the flashing LED light on the side of the AllPlay 2 receiver box.
